I have been writing since I could hold a pen. I fell in love with all facets of the written word; the worlds created in the best books, the feel and texture of fine paper, the look and feel of smooth, rich, black ink… ah, love. Life, however, inserted itself and I have worked to keep food on the table and heat in the house. Writing and creating have been relegated to an occasional indulgence since I started my family. Isn’t that true for most of us? I am now mother of three strong, successful young adults who make me incredibly proud.
I create to keep my soul alive. Life has been difficult, as it is for most single mothers. I was a spoiled princess and I am now… hm, a practical survivor. And I like myself MUCH better.
I am still trying to find my place in this newest phase of my life. I want to live, richly, and not just survive for the rest of my life. I am building my creative life and looking for ways to make my passions a more integral part of my everyday life. That’s why I am here, and I hope it’s why you are here too. I would love to hear from you, see your creations, read your words, share your journey.
What brought you here? How did you happen to land on Autumn Journal? Tell me what you are longing for in a personal, creative, life journey blog – perhaps we can create it together!
